Remote Transmission Thermostat with Spin On Filter 

The Improved Racing Transmission Thermostat comes with a Lifetime Warranty and effectively regulates the transmission fluid to 145 F. This is a great upgrade that will effectively reduce shift flairs and provide smoother shifts. The ENV 170 also provides a spin on filter for 20 micron filtration, big improvement over the 100 micron suction filter located inside the transmission pan. The internal filter will always be a high micron filter to prevent any fluid starvation to the pump. (My kits come with a AMSOIL EAO11 filter good for 25k miles).

Also included in the kits are a mounting bracket, eight 5/16" hose barb adapters and four spring style hose clamps. Optional 6ft of 5/16" hose can be provided

Mounting your transmission thermostat

Using M8 or 5/16 bolts securely mount to the frame using either threaded nuts or rivet nuts. We prefer to use rivet nuts when mounting to frame as it eliminates the struggle of getting a nut inside the frame. I have included a picture of a great rivet nut kit from Amazon for personal use. I recommend using read loctite on the first 3 threads of the mounting bolts for piece of mind. Next you'll want to mark or make note of the hoses before removing, the hose going into the bottom of the cooler is flowing from the transmission. Next remove the hoses from the transmission and install the new hose from the transmission to the thermostat, use the oem hose to connect from the thermostat to the cooler. Secure all hose connections with the supplied clamps.

There is a potential for loosing sufficient ATF during the install. I would recommend having a couple quarts on hand or I can ship you 10 qts AMSOIL Signature Series ATF to perform a transmission spill and fill service. The Nissan Titan XD Cummins has a 19mm drain plug to make servicing easy as changing oil.
